In a world where women are the center of every fight for human rights and the media, men are rarely recognized.

Let’s take the case of single mothers and single fathers.

Most news outlets, articles, and books discuss single moms leaving out single dads.

Fathering a child is a walk in the park, but being a dad takes hard work, effort, and dedication that society does not highlight.

It is a bigger job being a single dad raising a girl.

Girls need a mother figure since some things or topics may be too sensitive for dads to talk about, for example, menstrual periods or even talks about boys.

Single fathers face the challenge of meeting the expectations put up by society.

Men get judged for raising their daughters alone as a man.

Single dads have pressure to remarry after being left by their wives.

Single dads juggle work life and their life.

They may have frustrations due to low finances and comparing their family life to their friends.

Men have a hard time sharing or talking about their issues. Add that having to raise a child alone can lead to depression.

Single fathers face challenges single mothers face, yet they get no recognition.
