Kenya Police Bullets lead the FKF Women’s Premier League standings after the opening round of the 2026/27 season, with five clubs taking three points from their first matches.

Defending champions Police Bullets sit top on goal difference after a 6-0 win over Bungoma Queens at Police Sacco Stadium. Mathare United Women, Zetech Sparks and Ulinzi Starlets are also on three points with a goal difference of plus two, while Kibera Soccer Women are fifth on plus one.

Mathare United began their return to the top flight with a 3-1 comeback win over Vihiga Queens. Zetech Sparks recorded the same scoreline away to newly promoted Elim White Ladies, while Ulinzi Starlets won 2-0 at Gideon Starlets.

Kibera Soccer Women completed the group of early winners with a 1-0 victory over Trinity Starlets, secured by a stoppage-time goal.

At the middle of the table, Kayole Starlets and newly promoted Shabana Starlets shared the points in a 2-2 draw. The result leaves both sides on one point after the opening round.

Four teams began the campaign without a point. Trinity Starlets are ninth on goal difference, followed by Elim White Ladies and Vihiga Queens on minus two, with Gideon Starlets also on minus two. Bungoma Queens are bottom after conceding six goals without reply against Police Bullets.

The early standings provide a tightly packed picture at the top, although it is too early for the table to offer a meaningful indication of the title race.

Police Bullets are seeking to defend their title after winning the 2025/26 championship, while Ulinzi Starlets finished runners-up last season. Mathare United have returned to the top flight, adding another contender to the competition.

Round Two is scheduled for next weekend, with the early leaders looking to maintain their winning starts and the teams without a victory seeking their first points of the season.
