Mombasa, Kenya – Excitement is building among football fans in Kenya as Azam Media, the Tanzanian media giant, gears up to kick off its live broadcast production of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League next month. This highly anticipated live production had initially been slated to begin immediately following the FIFA international break, but it experienced a brief delay due to the installation of essential equipment for the broadcasts.

Azam Media Kenya's General Manager, Martin Abuya, revealed the reason behind the short delay, emphasizing the significance of ensuring that all necessary equipment was in place for a seamless viewing experience. This commitment to quality underscores Azam Media's dedication to bringing top-notch football action to Kenyan screens.

In a historic move for Kenyan football, Azam Media secured a seven-year broadcasting rights deal with FKF Premier League, valued at an impressive Ksh 1.3 billion. The signing ceremony took place on August 31st in Nairobi, where FKF President Nick Mwendwa expressed confidence that the clubs would benefit significantly from this partnership. He assured club representatives that the income generated would surpass their previous earnings, marking a transformative period for Kenyan football.

However, one issue remains on the table: the exact distribution of broadcasting revenues among the 18 league clubs. Currently, there is limited clarity on how much each club will receive from this lucrative broadcast deal. To address this matter, FKF's Communication Officer, Ken Okaka, has announced that club leadership will soon convene a meeting with federation officials to resolve the revenue-sharing framework, ensuring that all parties benefit equitably.

This partnership with Azam Media is a significant milestone for the FKF Premier League, which has been without a major sponsor since 2021 when Startime TV terminated its contract with the federation. With Azam Media's arrival, football enthusiasts in Kenya are encouraged to acquire Azam decoders or download the Azam app to ensure they don't miss any of the thrilling action set to unfold in the coming months.

The countdown has begun, and Kenyan football fans eagerly await the inaugural live broadcast of the FKF Premier League by Azam Media, marking a new era for football in the nation. Stay tuned for a season filled with exciting matches, drama, and unforgettable moments.
